Bands Festivals |
The Melbourne School Bands Festival is one of the nation's biggest and most prestigious events for school musicians. Over 8,000 students participate each year, and come from metropolitan and country Victoria, as well as interstate. The Festival commenced in 1989 with just over 20 bands and has grown to a point today where more than 240 concert bands and jazz ensembles participate in the Festival each year. The Melbourne School Strings Festival provides performance opportunities for all levels of string orchestras as well as Symphony Orchestras. |

Urban Upbeat |
The Urban Upbeat Festival at the Ekka has become a major musical event, showcasing school music ensembles from all over Queensland. More than 1000 instrumentalists perform in front of audiences and a leading commentary panel and provides a forum for schools to exhibit the excellent instrumental programs they have established. |
